Parsons's defense put the team in a good position heading into the break, holding Baxter Springs to a measly zero points. That gave them a 17 - 0 advantage at the half. Even though the defense allowed 21 points in the second half, it wasn't enough to keep the team from victory.
The win bumped Parsons's record up to 1-7. Baxter Springs dropped down to.500 with a 4-4 record.
The two teams have their sights set on raising those records in their upcoming games. Baxter Springs will look to defend its home turf against Frontenac this Friday at 7:00 PM. As for Parsons, it will battle it out against Columbus on Friday at 7:00 PM.
