Softball Recap: Negaunee Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

After losing to Standish-Sterling the last time they met, Negaunee decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Miners walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Panthers on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Miners.

Negaunee's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Standish-Sterling, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Negaunee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Goodrich on the 10th. As for Standish-Sterling, they will face off against Farwell at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
