Football Recap: West Point-Beemer Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 48 points the game before, West Point-Beemer was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost to the Cedar Catholic Trojans on the road by a 24-7 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Trojans are ranked 19th).

Peyton Penrose threw for 116 yards and one touchdown. Blaize Brockmann was his top target, picking up 52 receiving yards. On the ground, Myles Nielsen rushed for 94 yards.

West Point-Beemer's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Cedar Catholic, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. West Point-Beemer will venture away from home to square off against Norfolk Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cadets will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. As for Cedar Catholic, they are taking a road trip to challenge Battle Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
