Basketball Recap: Chiagoziem Njoku Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Woodson

McKinley Tech's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 56-45 victory over the Woodson Warriors. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trainers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

McKinley Tech got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chiagoziem Njoku out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards. That's the most points Njoku has posted since back in February of 2024. Jemima Bomoyi was another key player, putting up 14 points along with six steals and five rebounds.

The victory got McKinley Tech back to even at 10-10. As for Woodson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

McKinley Tech has already played their next contest (against Jackson-Reed), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Woodson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
