Game recap: Early lead takes Immaculata past Watchung Hills Regional

Immaculata (Somerville, N.J.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 21-6 win over Watchung Hills Regional (Warren, N.J.).

The Spartans put up seven points in the opening frame. Immaculata scored on a Connor Vanderbeek touchdown run and a touchdown.

IHS was up 14-6 at the half after taking the lead on a Vanderbeek touchdown run in the first quarter.

Antonio Natale was the top performer for the Somerville school. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown.



The Warriors' lone touchdown came on a run in the second quarter.

A 12-0 Immaculata victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
