Christoval is 9-0 against Sterling City since November of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Christoval Cougars will host the Sterling City Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Christoval will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Christoval faced off against Ozona on Tuesday. Christoval strolled past Ozona with points to spare, taking the game 49-32. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Lions are ranked 268th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Sterling City didn't have too much trouble with Reagan County on Tuesday as they won 26-11.

Christoval has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 20 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. As for Sterling City, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.

Everything came up roses for Christoval against Sterling City when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-21 win. Will Christoval repeat their success, or does Sterling City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
