Soccer Game Preview: Bishop England vs. Bluffton

The Bishop England Battling Bishops will head out to challenge the Bluffton Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Bishop England made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Waccamaw, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Bishop England never let Waccamaw get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for Bishop England, who have now won three contests by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Waccamaw with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Charlotte Cline, Reese Woodard, Sophia DeMarco, and Ava Delpino.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bluffton faced off against Colleton County on Friday. Bluffton was the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over Colleton County. Considering Bluffton's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Bishop England, bringing their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four matchups. As for Bluffton, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Everything went Bishop England's way against Bluffton in their previous matchup back in May of 2018, as Bishop England made off with a 4-1 win. Does Bishop England have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bluffton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
