Basketball Recap: Martensdale-St. Mary's Takes a Loss

After flying high against East Union last Friday, Martensdale-St. Mary came back down to earth. The Martensdale-St. Mary's Blue Devils fell just short of the Lenox Tigers by a score of 53-50 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Devils have suffered since February 8, 2024.

Martensdale-St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Lenox, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

Martensdale-St. Mary's has already played their next game, a 52-39 win against Central Decatur on the 28th. As for Lenox, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-35 victory against Bedford on the 27th.
