Softball Recap: Jones Takes a Loss

Jones lost against Calhoun back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jones Trojans lost 11-5 to the Calhoun Sandcrabs.

Jocelyn Rodriguez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Abigail Medellin, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Rodriguez wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Jones lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Jones' loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Calhoun, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-10.

Coming up, Jones will face off against Ingleside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calhoun, they will be playing at home against Rockport-Fulton at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
