Baseball Recap: Canastota Takes a Loss

Canastota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chittenango Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 back in April.

Canastota saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trace Studebaker, who went 2-for-4 with one double. That double was Studebaker's first of the season.

Canastota's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Chittenango, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Looking ahead, Canastota will welcome Madison Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chittenango, they will venture away from home to square off against Jordan-Elbridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
