Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for First Baptist

It's playoff time, and First Baptist had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 57-44 win over Chisago Lakes Baptist on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against Chisago Lakes Baptist back in December of 2024, they had to take a 49-43 loss.

First Baptist found their leader in sophomore Caleb Lindsay, who on his way to 25 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lindsay has scored at least a third of First Baptist's points. Jon Anaya was another key player, putting up 11 points and six boards.

First Baptist smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

First Baptist's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-18. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. As for Chisago Lakes Baptist, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

As of now, neither First Baptist nor Chisago Lakes Baptist have any future games scheduled.
