Football Recap: Marquette Takes a Loss

Marquette was the 27-14 winner over Hazelwood East when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs lost 38-14 to the Spartans on Friday.

Marquette's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hazelwood East, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marquette will welcome Kirkwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers' defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Mustangs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Hazelwood East, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against McCluer North at 6:00 p.m.
