Volleyball Game Preview: Lawrence Central Bears vs. Park Tudor Panthers

The Lawrence Central Bears will square off against the Park Tudor Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lawrence Central is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Lawrence Central didn't have quite enough to beat Ben Davis and fell 3-2. While the Bears didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Giants 25-11 in the first set.

Lawrence Central actually scored more points across those five sets (93-89), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 11-25, 13-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-7.

Meanwhile, Park Tudor made easy work of Victory College Prep on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Park Tudor was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-10, 25-6.

Lawrence Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Park Tudor, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.

Lawrence Central was able to grind out a solid win over Park Tudor in their previous meeting back in August of 2015, winning 2-0. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
