Baseball Game Preview: Belle Tigers vs. Capital City Cavaliers

The Belle Tigers will challenge the Capital City Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Belle nor Capital City posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Tuesday, Belle didn't have quite enough to beat St. Elizabeth and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Capital City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-0 to Jefferson City, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Belle now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Capital City, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-20.
