Basketball Game Preview: South Point Red Raiders vs. Crest Chargers

The South Point Red Raiders will challenge the Crest Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

South Point is headed into Tuesday's match hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Huss on Friday.

Meanwhile, Crest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Stuart W. Cramer, falling 63-41. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Storm are ranked 54th).

South Point's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Crest, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

South Point took their win against Crest in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 67-42. Will South Point repeat their success, or does Crest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
