Baseball Recap: Eagan Takes a Loss

Eagan has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against the Prior Lake Lakers, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Eagan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Prior Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagan will challenge Lakeville North at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prior Lake, they will take on Shakopee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sabers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Lakers surely won't give up without a fight.
