Baseball Recap: Gulf Shores Takes a Loss

Gulf Shores suffered their biggest loss since April 9, 2024 on Friday. They lost 9-3 to the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets. The Dolphins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellowjackets earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Gulf Shores saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tres Moore, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Carter Jones was another, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Gulf Shores' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 15-10. As for McGill-Toolen, they moved to 15-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

While Gulf Shores had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
