Volleyball Recap: Thornwell Falls Despite Big Games from Chloe Wilson and Janessa Centeno

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Thornwell can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Lewisville Lions on Wednesday. The Saints just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

While Thornwell was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-12.

Despite the defeat, Thornwell had strong showings from Janessa Centeno, who had four digs and three aces, and Chloe Wilson, who had four assists and two aces. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Thornwell's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Lewisville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Thornwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lewisville, they will square off against GREEN Upstate on Monday.
