Basketball Game Preview: Brush Beetdiggers vs. Wray Eagles

The Brush Beetdiggers will head out on the road to square off against the Wray Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Brush is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Yuma on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Brush lost 66-40 to Yuma. The Beetdiggers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-13.

Meanwhile, Wray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 77-23 loss at the hands of Resurrection Christian. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Cougars are ranked 12th).

Brush's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-5. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Wray, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
