Basketball Game Preview: Falmouth Navigators vs. Kennebunk Rams

Falmouth and Kennebunk are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Falmouth Navigators are taking a road trip to square off against the Kennebunk Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Falmouth has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 9.

On Monday, Falmouth had to suffer through a 48-20 loss at the hands of Greely. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Navigators have suffered against the Rangers since December 21, 2018.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kennebunk, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 44-43 win over Westbrook. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kennebunk's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Falmouth, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Falmouth took a serious blow against Kennebunk when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 78-40. Can Falmouth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
