Recap: Rochester Zebras vs. Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies
The Rochester Zebras were the 37-33 winner over the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Rochester opened the new year with a less-than-successful 44-39 defeat to they on Wednesday.
Several Zebras players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jadyn Field, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Rylee Clevenger was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Plymouth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lena Jones, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Mann, who scored ten points.
Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Plymouth, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Rochester will head out on the road to face off against Whitko at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Whitko will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Plymouth will take on Mishawaka at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Mishawaka focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Friday.
