Volleyball Recap: Trinity Catholic's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Trinity Catholic can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Orangewood Christian Rams on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in August.

Trinity Catholic started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 29-27, 25-17, 25-22.

Addyson Avery paced Trinity Catholic's offense, picking up 13 kills. Avery got some help from Margaret O'Farrell and her 39 assists. Finally, Maddie Hewitson kept Trinity Catholic's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Orangewood Christian found their leader in sophomore Mya Crowell, who had ten digs and two aces. Crowell also set a new season-high mark in assists with 20.

The defeat snapped Trinity Catholic's winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 16-11 record. As for Orangewood Christian, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-4.

Trinity Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orangewood Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against First Baptist Academy on the 3rd.
