Basketball Recap: Oak Park-River Forest Takes a Loss

Oak Park-River Forest lost against Curie back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Oak Park-River Forest Huskies received a blow as they fell 68-50 to the Curie Condors. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Condors are ranked 27th).

This is the second loss in a row for Oak Park-River Forest and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Curie, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Oak Park-River Forest will take on Fremd at 3:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Fremd will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Oak Park-River Forest surely won't give up without a fight. As for Curie, they will head out on the road to face off against Kankakee at 1:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. One thing working in Curie's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
