Baseball Recap: Warren Gets the Win

Warren took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Buna, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Warren sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Buna on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since April 19, 2024.

Cyrus Cimei was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Warren's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-8 when he doesn't). Sam Standley was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Warren's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 9-8. As for Buna, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
