Volleyball Recap: Hilltop Takes a Loss

Hilltop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Orange Glen Patriots. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Hilltop's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Orange Glen, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-17 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hilltop will host San Diego Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Orange Glen, they will welcome Escondido Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
