With a playoff win on the line, Desert Hills rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Bear River Bears. This was a revenge game for the Thunder: when they faced off against the Bears on Thursday, they had to take a 6-3 defeat.

Lulu West made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over seven innings pitched. West was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

West wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Lee, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Desert Hills' record now sits at 32-3. As for Bear River, they moved to 32-3 with that loss, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bears beat Desert Hills by a score of 3-2 later that day.
