Softball Recap: White County Central Comes Up Short

White County Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 23-10 to the Riverview Raiders. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 29, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Allie Schmidt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Haylee Smith, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run.

White County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Riverview, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.

White County Central and Riverview will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time White County Central sees the field they'll take on Nemo Vista at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st. As for Riverview, their break will end when they face Lisa Academy North at 4:30 p.m. on April 1.
