Basketball Recap: Doyle Piles Up the Points Against Amite

Doyle played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They blew past the Amite Warriors 72-43. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Warriors are ranked 328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Doyle is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Amite, they dropped their record down to 5-25 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Doyle has already played their next contest (against Albany), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Amite is taking a road trip to face off against Pine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
