Softball Recap: Havelock Takes a Loss

Havelock lost against Swansboro back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rams came up short against the Pirates, falling 15-3. Rams fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Pirates since on Monday.

This is the second loss in a row for Havelock and nudges their season record down to 1-10. As for Swansboro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Havelock will welcome West Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Swansboro, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Richlands on the 8th.
