The Stewarts Creek Red Hawks will take on the Smyrna Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Smyrna will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Stewarts Creek extended their winning streak to nine on Tuesday. The Red Hawks blew past Cookeville 12-1.

Jadyn Brawley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, Samya Sandifer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Stembridge, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Stewarts Creek hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Smyrna owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. Everything went their way against Cookeville as they made off with an 8-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won five in a row.
Like Stewarts Creek, Smyrna also got a great game from a two-way player: Adaeze Nwogbo. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Nwogbo has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kylah Lowe, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Talia Paredes was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Stewarts Creek pushed their record up to 21-5-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Smyrna, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Stewarts Creek has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .435. However, it's not like Smyrna struggles in that department as they've averaged .473. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
