Basketball Recap: Santee Falls Short of Wynot in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Santee can now relate to. They fell 73-60 to the Wynot Blue Devils on Tuesday. The Warriors' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Despite the loss, Santee still got an impressive performance from Tasunka Starlin, who shot 54% from the field on his way to 34 points and seven steals. The contest was Starlin's fourth in a row with at least 19 points. Christian Torrez was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Devin Brummer had an outrageously good game for Wynot as he went 8-for-14 from beyond the arc to rack up 24 points. The dominant performance gave Brummer a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kotner Koch, who shot 63% from the field en route to 13 points and eight boards.

Santee's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Wynot, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-7.

Santee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wynot, they have already played their next matchup, a 61-41 win against Wausa on the 27th.
