 Abilene proved they can win big  last Tuesday (they won by ten) but  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Coronado Mustangs out  5-3. That's more bragging rights for Abilene, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 The team  relied heavily on  Kinzley Cantu, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and a  stolen base.  Brieyonna Reed was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Abilene is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-12-1 record  this season. As for Coronado, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-12.
