Soccer Recap: Houghton Academy Comes Up Short

Houghton Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cuba-Rushford Rebels. Houghton Academy were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Cuba-Rushford earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Houghton Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Cuba-Rushford, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Houghton Academy will take on Andover at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cuba-Rushford, they will challenge Caledonia-Mumford at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Caledonia-Mumford will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Cuba-Rushford surely won't give up without a fight.
