Volleyball Recap: Bettye Davis East Anchorage Falls Despite Big Games from Selesitina Laufiso and Mia Kreger-Carlito

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Bettye Davis East Anchorage and Service had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Thunderbirds fell 3-1 to the Cougars on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-15, 16-25, 25-22, 25-16.

Bettye Davis East Anchorage's loss came despite strong showings from Mia Kreger-Carlito and Selesitina Laufiso. Kreger-Carlito had 19 digs, while Laufiso had 15 kills, six blocks, and five digs.

Bettye Davis East Anchorage dropped their record down to 12-17 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Service, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-9-3.

Coincidentally, Bettye Davis East Anchorage and Service will both be playing Eagle River the next time they take the court. The Thunderbirds will host the Wolves at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Cougars will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
