Soccer Recap: Rootstown Comes Up Short

Rootstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Berkshire Badgers, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Rootstown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Berkshire are ranked 33rd).

Rootstown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Berkshire, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1-2.

Coming up, Rootstown will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Lake Center Christian at 7:00 p.m. As for Berkshire, they will head out to square off against Karns City at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
