Baseball Recap: Naples Comes Up Short

Naples lost against Estero back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Naples fell just short of Estero by a score of 4-3. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Naples saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was KEVIN ORTEGA, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Naples' defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Estero, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6.

Looking ahead, Naples will challenge Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Naples' pitchers better be ready for this one: Fort Myers has averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Estero, they will take on Community School of Naples at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Community School of Naples has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
