The Chittenango Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Whitesboro Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Chittenango is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
Chittenango had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Mexico on Thursday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Tigers. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Karalynne Carmon spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

MacKenna Palko
| 05/07/26 @ Mexico | 5 |
| 05/10/25 @ Westhill | 4 |
| 04/04/25 @ Central Square | 3 |
| 04/21/26 vs Cortland | 2 |
| 04/11/26 vs Little Falls | 2 |
On the hitting side, Chittenango got a massive performance out of MacKenna Palko, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave Palko a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julianna Coon, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitesboro). They never let Holland Patent get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Warriors with their most commanding win of the season.
Addison Cook was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Cook was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Zyskowski, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Addyson Merritt was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Whitesboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .698. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win got Whitesboro back to even at 7-7. As for Chittenango, their record is now 11-3.
Chittenango came up short against Whitesboro in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, falling 5-2. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
