Newman International Academy saw some tournament action on Friday. They were dealt a 52-12 defeat at the hands of Irion County. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Avalon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Milford 67-15. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.

Newman International Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Avalon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
