Basketball Recap: Northern Guilford Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Northern Guilford entered their tilt with Ragsdale on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ragsdale Tigers, sneaking past 50-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Nighthawks have posted since January 24th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northern Guilford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leena McField, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which McField has scored at least a third of Northern Guilford's points. Another player making a difference was Malena DeLisa, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Ragsdale lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aaliya Boddie, who posted 12 points. Brooke Parker was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Northern Guilford's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Ragsdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
