Game recap: Justin-Siena High School Football Team beats Arcata

NAPA, Calif. - After taking the lead in the fourth quarter, Justin-Siena (Napa, Calif.) held on for a 34-27 victory over Arcata (Calif.) on Saturday. The difference for the Braves was it threw a touchdown.

After trailing 27-7 at the half, the Tigers went ahead on a touchdown run by Chad Blickenstaff with 7:00 remaining in the fourth. Justin-Siena grabbed hold of the lead when it threw a touchdown with 5:00 left in the fourth quarter, and never relinquished it.

JS saw its 20-point halftime lead fall to six entering the fourth.

The loss snapped Arcata's 11-game winning streak.

Aleric Stone played well for AHS. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns. His performance brought his touchdown total to 22 on the year.



T.J. Schmidt played well for the Napa school in the victory. The senior kicked one extra point.

The Tigers came in giving up 15.5 points per game this season. Arcata struggled against the Braves, which came in averaging 39.6 points per game.

The defeat comes as a step back for Arcata, which notched a 26-7 victory over Fort Bragg in its previous outing.
