Softball Recap: Nokomis Redskins vs. Shelbyville Rams        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Nokomis gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Shelbyville Rams with a sharp  11-2 win. Winning may never get old, but Nokomis sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
  Reaghan Jonas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  struck out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits (and only one walk). Jonas has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Jonas was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jayde Gonet, who  went 4-for-4 with three  doubles, four  RBI,  and a  run.  Camryn Engelman was another key contributor,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Nokomis now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Shelbyville,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nokomis will  face off against Pawnee at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Shelbyville, they will head out on the road to  take on  Clinton at 4:30  a.m.  on Thursday.
