Football Recap: Aledo Piles Up the Points Against Fossil Ridge + How To Watch

Aledo won against Birdville last Friday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Bearcats really took it to the Fossil Ridge Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won three contests by 42 points or more so far this season.

Aledo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaydon Finley out in front who picked up 95 receiving yards and three TDs. That's the most receiving touchdowns Finley has posted since back in November of 2024. Another rusher making a difference was Rudy Moya, who rushed for 111 yards and one score.

Aledo's run defense was locked in: Fossil Ridge could only muster 2.2 yards per carry. While three picked up at least five total tackles, Max Forman stood above the rest. He picked up two sacks and made five total tackles (3.5 for loss). Aledo didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.9.

Aledo's defense didn't let Malaki Lockhart, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Fossil Ridge's QB won't forget Forman anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

Fossil Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lockhart, who threw for 150 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 48 yards.

The win keeps Aledo at an undefeated 5-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 41.0 points this season. As for Fossil Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Aledo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-14 win against Ryan on the 3rd. As for Fossil Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 49-14 defeat against Richland on the 3rd.
