Softball Game Preview: Tyner Academy Rams vs. Sequatchie County Indians

The Tyner Academy Rams will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Sequatchie County Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Monday just wasn't the day for Tyner Academy's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-0 to Bledsoe County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Sequatchie County gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past South Pittsburg 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory made it two in a row for Sequatchie County and bumps their season record up to 4-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Tyner Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Tyner Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Sequatchie County in their previous meeting back in April of 2017, sneaking past 8-6. Will Tyner Academy repeat their success, or does Sequatchie County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
