Softball Game Preview: Hurricane Tigers vs. Snow Canyon Warriors

For the second straight game, Hurricane will face off against Snow Canyon. Hurricane will be playing in front of their home fans against Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hurricane is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Hurricane will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Snow Canyon, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Hurricane blew past Snow Canyon 12-2 on Tuesday. The Tigers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4th.

Hurricane got a massive performance out of Lizzy Horsley, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs Horsley has posted over her last 15 matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruby Seely, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Hurricane was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.

Snow Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Hurricane, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.

Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hurricane hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like Snow Canyon struggles in that department as they've averaged .378. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
