Basketball Game Preview: Hollywood Sheiks vs. Sherman Oaks CES Knights

The Hollywood Sheiks are taking a road trip to challenge the Sherman Oaks CES Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Hollywood is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Mendez to the tune of 84-44 on Wednesday. With the Sheiks ahead 44-17 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Sherman Oaks CES was able to grind out a solid victory over Franklin on Wednesday, taking the game 61-54. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Panthers are ranked 785th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sherman Oaks CES has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Hollywood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.
