King William came tearing into Wednesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Deep Run Wildcats get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last six matchups.

The team relied heavily on Jack Longest, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Lee, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

King William hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deep Run struck out nine times.

King William's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Deep Run, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.

King William wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Middlesex on the 8th. Hopefully Deep Run paid attention to the Cavaliers' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
