King William put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's sixth consecutive shutout on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Deep Run Wildcats a 5-0 shutout. The Cavaliers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Cavaliers were just returning the favor.

The team relied heavily on Jack Longest, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Andrew Lee, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

King William hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deep Run struck out nine times.

King William's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.2 runs. As for Deep Run, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.

King William has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Middlesex on the 8th. As for Deep Run, they will square off against Freeman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mavericks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
