Lillian Halliwell was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Allison Hollabaugh, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Alexis LaBo also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Smithville's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rittman, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5.
