            Baseball Recap: Southern Wayne Saints vs. Terry Sanford Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            The Southern Wayne Saints lost  9-1 to the Terry Sanford Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Tyler Odom was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Odom was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  double.
Southern Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Terry Sanford, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Wayne will take on Smithfield-Selma at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Saints are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on  a  12-game losing streak. As for Terry Sanford, they will challenge Western Harnett at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.5  runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
