Softball Recap: Tech Extends Winning Streak to Three

Tech had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Irvington Blue Knights 23-4. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tech's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.5 runs over those games. As for Irvington, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.

Tech wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 13-8 loss against St. Vincent Academy on the 7th. As for Irvington, they will square off against Bard at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
